Giving Back Is Engrained at 898 Marketing | Change Makers

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Jeffrey Ryznar and his team at 898 Marketing in Canfield were drawn to the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley because the organization offers a diverse opportunity to help many residents and represents a united effort of community stakeholders.

“For excellence to exist, the presence of others is always required,” Ryznar says. “So the idea that the United Way was founded and rooted in the ability of others coming together to collaborate, it gelled with who we are as an organization.”

United Way opens doors to organizations for which 898 employees volunteer. Among them are Dorothy Day House, Catholic Charities, American Heart Association, Yellow Brick Place, Boys & Girls Club and Potential Development.

In his Change Makers interview with Roxann Sebest of the United Way, Ryznar discusses how giving back to the community is important to the culture of the Mahoning Valley and his company.

The Change Makers series spotlights the partners, organizations and businesses that have supported the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley over the last 100 years. The series is sponsored by the United Way.
