Global Investment Hub Seeks Tenants

LEETONIA – The Global Investment Hub, now open in Leetonia, is an initiative to aid foreign companies interested in doing business in Ohio to start or expand their efforts in Columbiana County.

The hub is a joint effort of the Columbiana County Port Authority and the Ohio SBDC Export Assistance Network at Youngstown State University. It is seeking to fill the six office spaces available.

At the start of 2024, one German company had filled a spot. Recruitment continues for companies based in Brazil, Europe and Asia, says Mousa Kassis from the Export Assistance Network.

Tenants will be offered a year of free rent, including WiFi, and furnished office space. Additionally, the company is required to register as an Ohio company and employ a YSU intern for one academic year.

Funding for the renovations of the Leetonia industrial building housing the Global Investment Hub was secured through a combination of sources, including $400,000 from the state capital budget and $250,000 from the Appalachian Regional Commission.
