Globetrotters Bouncing into Town this Weekend

YOUNGSTOWN – Ring in the new year with the Harlem Globetrotters.

The high-flying tricksters of basketball will return to Covelli Centre on Sunday, Jan. 1, for a 2 p.m. show.

The Globetrotters have been entertaining families with their innovative moves and hilarious antics for close to a century. If you’ve ever seen a jump shot, slam dunk or a half-court hook shot, then you have witnessed a move made famous by the Globetrotters.

Launched in 1926, the Globetrotters remain at the top of their game. The team premiered a new NBC series, “Harlem Globetrotters: Play It Forward” this year, with episodes rolling out every Saturday morning. The 30-minute live-action series marked the team’s return to network television after almost 40 years. The series, hosted by actor and comedian Craig Robinson, showcases the players’ achievements both on and off the court as ambassadors of goodwill.
