Going Out or Staying In?
May 28, 2020: In the After Hours Report, we’re taking a look at some events coming up for those looking to go out and for those who want to stay home.
Businesses are beginning to open their doors again and smaller events are being planned around the region. If you’re looking to escape your house, you could take a trip to Keystone Safari in Grove City where they are offering drive through tours of the park. Another event to attend while staying in your car is the Fair Food Extravaganza taking place at the Canfield Fairgrounds June 5-7. If you’re looking to support some local vendors, the Youngstown Flea will hold its first event on June 13 with safety measures in place.
If you’d rather stay at home there are still several options to check out via the internet. For example, the Simply Slavic Festival will now be taking place as a virtual event on June 20 on Facebook and Youtube. You can also check out the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra‘s ‘Virtual Concert Hall’ videos, as well as, digital reprises of performances that took place at Stambaugh Auditorium.
Whatever you plan on doing throughout the month of June, it’s important to always take necessary precautions for the safety of yourself and others. You can find all of the latest announcements, updates and more of what’s happening in our five county region, virtual or otherwise, by visiting AfterHoursYoungstown.com.
