Goodwill Looks to Fill 40 Positions with Hiring Events Friday, Saturday

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries will hold hiring events Friday and Saturday as it looks to add 40 employees.

Walk-in interviews will be available both Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the stores in Liberty, 2747 Belmont Ave., and in Boardman, 285 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Employees are sought for all 10 of the local Goodwill’s sites, including the new Austintown store and donation center.

“We are excited to announce that we plan to open our doors on Oct. 1,” said CEO Mark Goloja in a statement, noting that donations are currently being accepted at the new Austintown store, 6009 Mahoning Ave. “Although we’ve encountered unforeseen construction delays, we have fully utilized the extra time to develop a great team and place that will be worth the wait.”

Among the jobs available at Youngstown Goodwill sites are donation center attendant, store sorter, customer service supervisor, customer service representative, off-site janitorial, baler, lawn care laborer, maintenance and e-commerce clerk.

Wages vary by position, but the minimum wage at all Youngstown Goodwill sites is $11 per hour.
