Gorant Relocating Canfield Store, Updating Design
BOARDMAN, Ohio – In an effort to upgrade its retail business in the Mahoning Valley, Gorant Chocolatier is moving its Canfield store into a new space in Huntington Plaza.
“We’ve evaluated this new location and feel that it’s simply a much easier place for people to find Gorant chocolates,” said Angela Miller, vice president of retail marketing. “Gorant has a strong presence in this area, but the face of retail is changing quickly. This store is designed with much more in mind than just a place to shop.”
The new store, 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road, will feature an updated design to its Yum Yum Tree retail brand. Among the store’s features is the Chocolate Creation Station, where customers have items hand-dipped and rolled in toppings of their choice.
With the store scheduled to open later this month, a ribbon cutting will be held Feb. 1.
Founded in 1949, Gorant manufactures all of its products in its Boardman factory, where it also operates a factory store. It also has stores in Alliance, Austintown, Chardon and Warren.
