Gorman Elected Chairman of The Ohio Business Roundtable
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The members of the Ohio Business Roundtable recently unanimously elected Chris Gorman, chairman and CEO of KeyCorp, as chairman of the organization.
“Ohio is experiencing tremendous growth by attracting new industries and becoming pioneers of innovation within our existing ones. Our state is on the rise, and it is more important than ever that our business community works collectively to continue that momentum,” Gorman said.
Gorman will serve a two-year term as chairman of the business organization whose membership is comprised of 113 presidents and CEOs of the state’s top companies. The companies represented within the organization collectively employ over 515,000 Ohioans and combine for total annual revenue exceeding $1.5 trillion.
“Chris has been an influential figure in northeast Ohio, and nationally as leader of one of the [nation’s] largest bank-based financial services companies,” said Pat Tiberi, president and CEO of the Ohio Business Roundtable.
Gorman will succeed Frank Sullivan, chairman and CEO of RPM International Inc., effective Jan. 1.
