Great Southern to Perform at Robins Theatre in August

WARREN, Ohio – Great Southern, presented by Dickey Betts, will come to the Robins Theatre on Saturday, Aug.19, for an 8 p.m. concert.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the show (plus applicable fees), and will go on sale Friday, July 14, at 10 a.m. at robinstheatre.com and the box office, 160 E. Market St.

Formed by Dickey Betts, founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, Great Southern was created while the Allmans were on hiatus in the late 1970s. During that time, Betts pursued a solo career with Great Southern and The Dickey Betts Band.

The band, as it is today, originally formed in 2000. In 2018 and 2019, it did some special reunion shows, and the response was overwhelming.

Great Southern has reunited once again to perform Betts’ music and his music with the Allman Brothers. Betts is not a member of the band but has given it his blessing.
