Greenville Chamber to Host ‘Grapes & Growlers’ Oct. 1
GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce will host a new fundraiser, Grapes & Growlers, from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 1.
The wine and beer tasting event will be held in Loft 18, a new venue at route 18 in Transfer, Pa., near Rutledge Road. The owners of Loft 18 are in the process of refurbishing the barn to host events there, said the chamber’s Janice Schwanbeck.
Participating in the tasting are Nova Cellars Winery, Fractured Grape Winery, Knockin’ Nogging, Conneaut Cellars Winery, Deer Creek Winery, Wilhelm Winery, The Depot Saloon, Stone Church Pizza & Brewpub, and Brewtus Brewery.
“The board felt this would be a fun and different evening of networking to offer our members, as well as raise additional revenue for the chamber,” said Lori Goodlin of Kalthchaler Insurance, Greenville. Goodlin is chairwoman for the event and vice president of the chamber’s board of directors.
A meat and cheese display will be provided, which is sponsored in part by Primary Health Network Foundation. In addition, Twin Temptations, The Cornerstone Restaurant and The Depot Saloon will have nibbles for purchase. Terry Dach will provide entertainment.
Attendees will receive a souvenir tasting glass and have an opportunity to purchase event T-shirts.
The event is open to the public. Tickets are available at the chamber, 724 588 7150.
