Greenwood Extra Mile Giveaway Announces Winner on Wednesday
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — Greenwood Chevrolet, the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley and the United Way of Trumbull County will recognize this year’s Greenwood Extra Mile Giveaway winner at an event Wednesday evening.
The annual giveaway rewards one donor who generously gave to either of the United Way organizations during their 2021 campaigns. Typically, the event is held in the Greenwood Chevrolet showroom, but this year’s event will again be held virtually because fo the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a release.
“Our partnership with the United Ways of both Trumbull and Mahoning Counties has been truly incredible over the years,” said Maureen McCowin, sales manager at Greenwood Chevrolet. “Greenwood is so humbled to have the opportunity to support people in our community, and honor individuals who give so much of themselves.”
Bob Hannon, president of the Youngstown United Way, and Ginny Pasha, president of the Trumbull United Way, will join 10 finalists – five from each organization – who will choose among 10 numbered keys. The finalist who picks the key that starts a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer will have the choice of keeping the vehicle or taking home $15,000 in cash, courtesy of Greenwood Chevrolet.
