Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet Donates $3,500 to Boys and Girls Club

HUBBARD, Ohio — Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet donated $3,500 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Youngstown through the Chevy All-Stars program.

The donation will be used to enhance current after-school programming at the club, according to a press release. The organization’s president and CEO Jim Bird, Resource Development and Marketing Director Wanda Wellman, Membership Coordinator Jacquetta Peoples and a number of children were on hand to accept the donation at the club’s Oak Hill Avenue location.

“Imagine my surprise when we got the call from Steve at Hubbard Chevrolet telling us that we were chosen as their year-end charity,” Bird said in the release. “Every day, kids come through our doors with a variety of needs. Greenwood’s gift will help us meet those needs. We are so grateful for the generosity they have shown us.”

“It’s really important that we support organizations like this,” said Steve Rotunno, new car manager at Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet. “The Boys and Girls Club does so much to help kids right here in the Valley, so making a donation to support them was a no-brainer. A huge thank you to the Chevy All-Stars as well for allowing us the opportunity to support great organizations like this.”
