Grocery Outlet Raising Funds for Rescue Mission
BOARDMAN, Ohio – Grocery Outlet has launched its Independence from Hunger campaign.
The store, at 317 Boardman-Poland Road, is owned by Eric and Sarah Senges.
The campaign supports the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley in providing meals and shelter to those in need.
Through July 31, Grocery Outlet customers will be able to contribute to the effort to feed people at the rescue mission by donating at checkout.
When checking out, customers will be asked if they want to make a $5 donation. In return for their donation, they will receive a coupon for $5 off their next purchase of at least $25.
At the conclusion of the fundraiser, Grocery Outlet will ask for a list of most needed items from the rescue mission and will make a Grocery Outlet purchase equal to the total funds raised to help fill the rescue mission’s pantry.
So far, the campaign has raised $1,703 toward its $3,000 goal.
“It’s gratifying to see our customers’ donations transform into nutritious meals at the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley,” Eric and Sarah Senges said in a news release. “Our objective is to support our community by addressing hunger in the Valley. With a goal of raising $3,000, we invite everyone to join us in this cause.”
Boardman’s Grocery Outlet is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
