Grove City College Earns Top Honors for Value and ROI in 2024

GROVE CITY, Pennsylvania — Grove City College has been recognized as one of the Best Value Colleges for 2024 by The Princeton Review. This designation places the college among an elite group of higher education institutions known for providing valuable education and a strong return on investment.

“This recognition highlights the value Grove City College offers—an excellent, affordable, Christ-centered education that paves the way for career success,” said College President Paul J. McNulty. “It’s clear that students can reap abundant material rewards from their time on campus, but the ultimate value – and best return on investment – of a Grove City College education is a moral grounding in transcendent values that equip them to be servant leaders and champions of freedom.”

Only 209 of nearly 4,000 degree-granting institutions in the nation received this best value status. The selection is based on over 40 data points, including academics, affordability, career preparation, and alumni salary data.

Grove City College’s return on investment (ROI) rating of 89 out of 99 is derived from various factors such as academic selectivity, admissions, student surveys, financial aid awards, cost of attendance, student debt, and data from PayScale.com, which surveys alumni on starting and mid-career salaries and job satisfaction.

“Students who attend these schools don’t have to mortgage their futures to pay for their degrees—and we believe they will graduate with great career prospects,” stated The Princeton Review.

Rob Franek, Editor-in-Chief of The Princeton Review, commended Grove City College for its strong academics, exceptional career services, and commitment to affordability through generous financial aid and a comparatively low tuition price.

Known for its affordability, Grove City College’s annual tuition of $21,700 is significantly lower than that of comparable private colleges. Most students receive need- or merit-based aid, and within six months of graduation, 95% of alumni are employed or pursuing graduate degrees. According to PayScale, alumni earnings are in the top 14% nationally, with an average career salary of $68,000, mid-career earnings of $130,700, and a 20-year ROI of $560,000.

In addition to its Best Value status, Grove City College is also listed in The Princeton Review’s Best 389 Colleges, Best in the Mid-Atlantic region, and ranks 18th nationally for Best Student Support and Counseling Services.
