Grove City College Grads Boast 97% Placement Rate

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Just six months after graduating, 97% of Grove City College’s class of 2015 has found employment or enrolled in graduate programs, the school announced this morning.

In a survey done by the college’s Career Services Office, 80% of graduates are employed and 17% are pursuing further education or training programs. The survey had a 95% response rate.

“Our graduates are highly employable,” said Jim Thrasher, director of the office, in a release. “The great education they receive at Grove City College equips them to thrive in the working world and academia. It’s not just information and skills that students acquire here, but a sense of purpose that informs their lives and careers.”

To help students find jobs, the Career Services Office works with both students and employers to provide on-campus interviews, job and internship listings and an annual career fair, one of the largest in the region, the college says.

“Our career services team helps students meet their goals and network with hundreds of employers and alumni who hire our graduates,” Thrasher said. “That ‘fit’ provides wonderful opportunities for our graduates to find satisfaction and purpose in their work, to bring value to their employers and to excel in a competitive marketplace.”
