Growth Report 1 Is Now Available

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — “Growth Report 1: Economic and Community Development Edition” is now available online and on its way to print subscribers’ mailboxes. It’s the first of two Growth Reports for 2022.

Growth Report 2: Business and Industry Edition, will be published Feb. 15.

Because of increased demand, and print limitations, we added a second edition so we could include more of each organization’s Growth Report story.

In Growth Report 1 are more than 80 submitted stories from economic and community development agencies, foundations and nonprofits, professional associations, educational institutions and labor unions operating in and around the Mahoning and Shenango valleys. 

Additionally, our editorial team has produced in-depth articles for GR1. Dan O’Brien looks at the progress in Voltage Valley over the last year, with a focus on the $2.3 billion Ultium Cells plant in Lordstown.

George Nelson rounds up area professionals for input on what business owners need to be thinking about, warning a failure to plan is a plan to fail.

Jeremy Lydic provides a look at the regional nonprofit economy coming out of 2021, and learns what challenges are ahead for 2022.

Growth Report 2 will be published Feb. 15 and will feature stories from for-profit businesses, as well as hospitals and health-care facilities.

GR2 stories are due Jan. 21; ads are due Feb. 7.
