Guitarist Paul Brown, Singer Sharon Rae North in Concert at Playhouse
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Jazz guitarist Paul Brown, with vocalist Sharon Rae North, will perform at The Youngstown Playhouse at 7 p.m. Friday, June 28.
Brown is a two-time Grammy-winning guitarist/producer with nearly 80 No. 1 Contemporary Jazz hits on his résumé. He has collaborated with many great artists, including George Benson, Luther Vandross, Diana Ross, Boney James, Dave Koz and Patti Austin.
North, a Youngstown native now based in Virginia, is a longtime jazz singer. She released her most recent album, “Silhouette,” in 2020.
The concert is the latest in the Smooth Summer Sessions jazz concert series that North and her business partner, Fritz Germain, are presenting at the Playhouse this summer through their Touch of Class production company.
The remainder of the Smooth Summer Series concerts includes:
- July 12: Christian de Mesones (bassist).
- Aug. 30: James Floyd (keyboards) and Alexander Zonjic (flute).
General admission tickets are $60 ($75 for VIP tickets) and can be purchased in advance HERE. Tickets can also be purchased at the DeYor Performing Arts Center box office, downtown.
The VIP tickets include access to a post-show catered reception at Charlie Staples and Pit Boss, Belmont Avenue at Rayen Avenue.
