H.D. Davis Picks Potential Development for ‘Change Campaign’
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Over the next year, H.D. Davis CPAs will host a fundraising campaign to benefit Potential Development School for Students with Autism, setting a goal of raising $20,000 for the first H.D. Change Campaign Award.
Through the year-long effort, employees at H.D. Davis and its subsidiary, White Glove Payroll, can donate or raise funds for Potential Development. The accounting firm will match contributions up to $500 per employees. Staff will also volunteer at the schools.
“Local residents and businesses have always pulled through to help others in need,” said H.D. Davis managing partner Tim Petrey in a release. “We are excited to give back, and hope this encourages other small businesses to continue to find more ways to help our community.”
Potential Development is a nonpublic charter school that provides comprehensive education and therapy to students from preschool through high school. The school has seen enrollment climb 44% over the past year, according to its executive director, Paul Garchar Jr.
“Words cannot describe our appreciation for everything they are doing for our students,” Garchar said in a statement. “H.D. Davis is a great example of a small business making a significant impact.”
