Hampton Inn in Austintown Sold for $3.4M

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – A Hampton Inn by Hilton that was first developed 30 years ago near the state Route 46 and Interstate 80 interchange has sold for $3.4 million to a group based in Ohio.

Records from the Mahoning County Auditor’s office show that OHM Canfield LLC, which gives an address based in Independence, purchased the building and 3.4 acres at 880 N. Canfield-Niles Road on April 26.

The land and building are appraised at $3.3 million for property tax purposes, per the auditor’s site. 

According to data from the Ohio Secretary of State’s office, Nilesh Patel is listed as an authorized representative of OHM Canfield as of March 22.

Auditor records show that Meander Inn Inc. first developed the site in 1994, which remained its sole owner until the most recent sale. According to Ohio Secretary of State documents, Meander Inn Inc. was first incorporated in 1981. The most recent document filed with the office lists William Kovass as that entity’s statutory agent.
