HBK Marks 70 Years by Supporting Komen Foundation

CANFIELD, Ohio — In conjunction with its 70th anniversary celebration and acknowledgment of October as Breast Cancer Awareness month, HBK CPAs & Consultants is launching a firm-wide fundraiser and awareness campaign in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The campaign will run from October through January 2020, and is a collaborative effort among team members across offices, geographic regions and service lines. Throughout the campaign, the HBK website will feature photos of HBK team members (see above) honoring loved ones who have fought or are fighting breast cancer.

“Seventy years ago, the leaders of this firm based their service on treating clients like they were family members,” says Christopher Allegretti, HBK managing principal and CEO. “As we observe our 70th anniversary by supporting the fight against breast cancer, we remember and honor our colleagues, clients, family members, friends and associates who have fought and are fighting this difficult battle.”

Public support is welcomed, says Allegretti. “We encourage you to join us by contacting your local HBK office representative or sending your request to [email protected],” he adds.

The public accounting firm dates its origins to 1949 with the founding of Hill and Hammonds, which later became Hill, Barth & King, and today is known as HBK. From a staff of nine in 1949, HBK has grown to a team of several hundred professionals serving clients from offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Florida.

The firm comprises the following entities: HBK CPAs & Consultants, HBKS Wealth Advisors, HBK Valuation, Litigation & Forensics and HBK High Performance.
