New Jersey Accounting Firm Merges with HBK

CANFIELD, Ohio – HBK CPAs & Consultants has signed a merger agreement with New Jersey-based Spire Group, expanding the accounting firm’s presence in the mid-Atlantic, including offices in Princeton and Cherry Hill, N.J., and Blue Bell, Pa.

Spire employs 50, five of whom will join HBK as principals. In 2017, Inc. magazine named the accounting firm as of the Top 50 Best Workplaces, while Accounting Today has named Spire as one of its Best Place to Work for four consecutive years.

In addition to its tax, advisory and assurance departments, Spire also operates Spire IT. Founded in 2010, it provides businesses with technology consulting services.
