Healthy Competition Between YSU Quarterbacks
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – From rivals to brothers, both Beau Brungard from New Middletown and Brady Shannon from Youngstown help lift each other with healthy competition between them.
Brungard brings veteran experience to the team as he played in all 13 games in 2023. As a backup quarterback, he rushed for 129 yards on 18 attempts to go along with three touchdowns.
Although Shannon is new to the YSU football program, he is no stranger to Youngstown. In 2021, he led Ursuline High School to its first state title game since 2010.
