Hine Fund Names Buchmann OSH Caseworker
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Hine Memorial Fund of The Youngstown Foundation this week announced the appointment of Shari Buchmann as the Operation Search & Help caseworker.
Operation Search & Help is a grant funded by the Hine Memorial Fund and housed at Potential Development. The program, which has been in existence for more than 35 years, provides financial assistance for the medical needs of children with special needs.
Buchmann, who succeeds Mary Ann Schaper, will be responsible for assisting families with medication, medical equipment and supplies, specialized formulas, therapies and transportation to out-of-town medical appointments. Additionally she refer families to community agencies, track grant dollars, and assist with the annual budget for grant renewal.
Buchmann is a licensed social worker and brings more than 22 years of experience working in the Mahoning Valley. She resides in Mahoning County with her husband and four children.
