Hollywood Gaming Introduces Cardless, Cashless, Contactless Gaming

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course has introduced new ways to play, in an effort to ensure a cleaner, safer environment for team members and guests, according to a press release.

The Mychoice app, using Bluetooth technology, connects players to their favorite games using their smartphone without putting a loyalty card into the gaming machine. Those using the app can earn tier points toward Mycash, which can be redeemed from everything to free slot play, dining, shopping and more.

Meanwhile, Mywallet can fund games virtually by linking a credit card, debit card or bank account to a Mychoice account – transferring credits to and from a video lottery terminal machine.

These efforts promote a contactless experience without exchanging physical currency, tickets or using the plastic Mychoice card.

In addition to the launch, Hollywood Gaming is running a Mycash promotion in which guests receive up to $50 in Mycash when they link the Mychoice app to their account ($10), connect to a game via Bluetooth ($15) and establish a virtual wallet ($25). There are currently no fees assessed to guests who transfer funds using the Mywallet.

Physical cash will continue to be available and accepted, though guests are encouraged to try the new option.
