Home Savings Names Horvath to Head Consumer Lending

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Home Savings and Loan Co. has hired James D. Horvath, most recently manager of consumer lending at Farmers National Bank of Canfield, to head its consumer lending operations.

The bank named him vice president/director, consumer lending.

Horvath has more than 35 years of experience in banking and as a lender, Home Savings said, and his responsibilities include working with its retail lenders increase the bank’s consumer loan portfolio, support its indirect auto lending activities and develop new consumer loan products.

Before joining Farmers, Horvath worked for Huntington Bank in Youngstown and the banks it acquired.

He majored in finance and business administration at Youngstown State University and is a graduate of the Ohio Bankers Association Graduate School of Banking and the American Institute of Banking.
