Horror Film Shot in Youngstown to Premiere Online
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – “Springsville,” a suspense-slasher movie made by Les Nolan of Campbell and shot in the Mahoning Valley, will premiere Oct. 11 on YouTube.

Nolan co-wrote the film with Lewis M. Saxson. He also directed it and created the score.
The cast includes Brian Andrews, who appeared in John Carpenter’s “Halloween” (1978) and “The Great Santini” (1979), Jarrell Pyro Johnson, Billy Culbertson and Mike Rotunda, a former professional wrestler best known as Irwin R. Schyster (IRS) in the World Wrestling Federation.
The plot revolves around a novelist who shares the story of how his child went missing on Halloween in the fictional town of Springsville, Ohio.
Nolan shot the 95-minute movie – his first – in the Youngstown area last year.
One scene was shot in Geo’s music store in downtown Youngstown. Geo Case, owner of the store and leader of R&B band Geo C and Tha Storm, plays a musician in the scene.
