How Do Wealth Managers Assist the Community?

CANFIELD, Ohio — One of the more advanced career paths with community banks is the wealth manager.

In this Brain Gain Navigators excerpt, Mark Wenick, chief wealth officer at Farmers National Bank explains what wealth management is and getting to know the needs of clients.

Wealth managers work with the bank’s more affluent clients, including small-business owners, doctors and other professionals, he says. Through programs like Wealth Management 360, wealth managers get to know these clients one-on-one and “are able to offer them not only a broad-based selection of banking products. We’re also able to branch off and talk about investments,” he says.
