Howland Students Receive $84K in Scholarships
WARREN, Ohio – The Howland Community Scholarships Foundation awarded 50 scholarships totaling $84,000 at its annual scholarship breakfast on April 25.
Since it began in 2006, the foundation has sponsored 811 scholarships and awarded $803,250 to students. Last year, the organization surpassed $1 million in total donations.
“Year after year, we are humbled and amazed by the generosity of the Howland community,” said Andy Bednar, foundation president. “This foundation facilitates an enduring connection between our graduating seniors and the community, demonstrating Howland’s support of its students and the acknowledgement of all their incredible accomplishments.”
Scholarships are awarded to Howland High School’s graduating seniors annually through direct donations and foundation proceeds.
