Hudson Fasteners Launches New Ecommerce Presence

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – New business-to-business ecommerce technology being used by Hudson Fasteners Inc. will revolutionize how fasteners and industrial products are sold online, the company says.

The Youngstown Business Incubator portfolio company is using its trademarked “13 Forces Product Genius” technology to launch of 1IndustrialWay.com, a complete rebranding of HudsonFasteners.com. The B2B ecommerce platform and the 1IndustrialWay network streamline, simplify and expedite the ordering of fasteners and industrial supplies, the company said in its announcement.

Hudson Fasteners is a third-generation, family owned wholesale fastener distribution company that was established in 1946. The New York City company moved to the YBI in 2012. Today it’s operated by Lisa Kleinhandler, CEO, and Cris Young, executive vice president.

With the new website, Hudson Fasteners’ customers now have the ability to navigate and purchase hundreds of thousands of items in an organized and understandable method, the company said.

Hudson Fasteners’ owners “exemplify the true meaning of entrepreneurship,” said Gene Groys, entrepreneur-in-residence and mentor at YBI, who has seen the site progress over the past year. “They’ve brought a truly differentiated product to market that solves a huge problem in the industry, and they command an enormous social media presence to garner fast adoption,” he remarked in a prepared statement.

Hudson Fasteners is the creator and curator of Fastener News Desk, an online resource for industry news that includes a blog and a group for industry professionals on LinkedIn, a weekly online newspaper and a presence on Twitter.
