Hunt Valve Earns BWC Safety Council Award
SALEM, Ohio – Hunt Valve, a fluid power engineering company specializing in severe-duty valves and components, received a Salem Area Safety Council Safety Award from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.
“At Hunt Valve, we make every effort to implement safe work practices and maintain our production facilities to the highest quality standards,” said Brad Sterner, Hunt Valve’s president and CEO. “Our dedication to workplace safety is vital to keeping our staff serving our customers with efficiency and reliability.”
The Salem Area Safety Council, a division of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, is co-sponsored with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene. Each year, BWC presents the safety awards in four categories to qualifying companies that demonstrate a commitment to maintaining workplace safety.
Hunt Valve received the honor in the 100% award category for going an entire year without any employee suffering a work-related injury/disease that resulted in taking off work past the day of an accident, loss of wages or a permanent disability.
