Hutson Takes Leadership Role in Ohio Bar Association
COLUMBIANA, Ohio – On July 1, Mark A. Hutson began his three-year term on the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors. Hutson was elected to represent Ohio Bar member attorneys in District 13, which includes Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
The Ohio Bar Board of Governors is a 24-member volunteer body that manages the association’s business affairs, sets policy and reviews pending legislation on behalf of the members of the Ohio Bar. Twenty-one members are elected by attorneys in their districts and three members serve as at-large appointees.
Hutson is a solo practitioner and owner of Mark A. Hutson, attorney at law, as well as the municipal attorney for the city of Columbiana. He is a past president of the Columbiana County Bar Association where he also served on the executive committee. Prior to his election to the Ohio Bar Board of Governors, Hutson served on the association’s policy-making body, the Council of Delegates.
In his community, Hutson serves on the board and is a past president of Columbiana County Exempted Village School District. He is also a board member of the Columbiana County Career and Tech Center and has served as an elder in his local church.
He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and his law degree from Capital University Law School.
