Hynes Industries Part 2: An Optimistic Outlook for 2022 Despite Challenges

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio– Hynes Industries and its customers have faced many challenges since the beginning of the pandemic, many of which they still face into 2022. Those challenges include the labor shortage, inflation and disruptions to the supply chain, However, CEO Rick Organ say he’s has an optimistic outlook for what’s to come this year.

“We have good visibility to the forward look at our business,” Organ says. “We have enough of an ability to look at the supply chain within our customer base to kind of know what their production rates are going to be.”

Hynes Industries primarily serves three industries: transportation, solar, and one that’s seeing more growth than most, automation. Ryan Day, the company’s CFO, says they’re seeing large companies invest more in automation after the pandemic.

“Some of the larger Amazons and Walmarts and Abertsons and so on continue to invest in automation,” Day says. “This is one of those areas where it’s easy for them for invest in.”
