In-Demand Jobs Week Kicks Off at Brookfield High School

BROOKFIELD, Ohio – Lt. Gov. Jon Husted kicked off In-Demand Jobs Week by visiting Brookfield Local Schools to tour the Building Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program and the Advanced Manufacturing Makerspace.

During a roundtable discussion, Husted brought up the worker shortage and how the working-age workforce demographic is shrinking.

“If we want to win in America, we have to supply the talent so that businesses will invest here and prosperity will bound and people can have fulfilling careers,” Husted said. “It’s just connecting that all together; that’s what we’re trying to do during in-demand jobs week.”
