Independent Living Skills Center Celebrates Central Location

FARRELL, PA — A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the newly renovated Independent Living Skills Center.

The center focuses on providing transitional age youth (14-23 years old) with the skills necessary for a successful transition into adulthood.

The building was purchased for $15,000 by Penn-Northwest Development Corporation.

“We’ve gone ahead and put well over $200,000 into the improvements creating all of the workspace that you see to the children and youth services specifications for their life skills center,” says Rod Wilt, executive director of Penn-Northwest Development Corporation.
