Indian Grocery Brings Big Flavor Closer to Home
NILES, Ohio — Indian Grocery of Youngstown celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday.
The store offers all kinds of Indian food with authentic spices, snacks, fresh veggies, ready-to-eat meals and more.
Amit Kumar, co-owns the grocery store with his wife Shweta Nair. They usually drive 3-4 hours to travel to Cleveland or Pittsburgh to get groceries from an international market. After operating a cell phone store at the location, they decided to change it to a grocery store not only to make things easier for themselves, but to offer the community something different.
“We are familiar with each and every item we carry in the store. That made us decide to start this grocery store because we know what we are selling,” says Kumar.
