Induction Professionals Helps Reduce Energy Consumption
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A new high efficiency electric induction billet heater designed and built in Youngstown is being shipped out on Wednesday to a client of Induction Professionals LLC.
The new billet heater uses thirty-four percent less energy to heat aluminum billets than the unit currently being used by their client, who supply aluminum extrusions for Boeing and Airbus.
“They’re under tremendous pressure from those companies; every step in the supply chain – ‘What are you doing to reduce your energy consumption?'” says Tom Kearney, general manager of Induction Professionals.
