Information Sessions in May for Master of Accountancy

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Information sessions are scheduled in May for Youngstown State University’s new master ‘s program in accountancy program, which begins this fall semester.

Information sessions are scheduled for noon and 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 4; 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 6; and 6 p.m. Monday, May 16, in the Williamson College of Business Administration at YSU.

The 30-semester-hour program is designed to be completed in two semesters by students who attend full-time. It takes longer for those who study part-time.

The program enables students to develop the advanced knowledge and skills to identify and use accounting and tax resources to support how they arrive at decisions, to communicate clearly, logically, and persuasively,  to recognize and address ethical issues in a finance and business, and to analyze and manage data in various settings.

The program allows students to earn 30 semester hours towards the 150 required to sit for the CPA exam in Ohio, or help prepare them for the CMA exam.

Application to the program requires submission of the following information to the YSU College of Graduate Studies and Research: a completed application for graduate admission, a letter of application stating professional goals and objectives, a resume, and an official transcript from each college or institution attended.
