Inn at Christine Valley Hosts Fundraiser to Get Therapy Dog
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Inn at Christine Valley will host a car wash July 29 to help raise funds for the addition of a therapy dog.
The event runs 4 to 6 p.m. at the assisted living and memory care center, 3150 S. Schenley Ave.
Money raised by the event will support the purchase of the therapy dog from Animal Charity of Ohio and associated medical and care costs. Health Care Providers Wishes, a local program aimed at bringing senior animals and adults together, is facilitating the placement of the dog.
Any remaining funds will go to Animal Charity for food, supplies, medication and other costs related to animal care.
Available at the event will be hot dogs, chips, popcorn and baked goods for a donation.

Health Care Providers Wishes partners with Animal Charity of Ohio to place therapy dogs in long-term care and assisted living centers. It is the local chapter of the Three Wishes for Ruby’s Residents organization.
