Instead of Christmas Party, Gilbert’s Donates to 6 Charities
SHARON, Pa. – Gilbert’s Risk Solutions has donated to six nonprofits in lieu of its annual Christmas party.
Receiving funds were the American Heart Association, Penn-Northwest Development Corp. in Hermitage, Community Food Warehouse in Sharon, Joshua’s Haven in Farrell, Hour of Power Church in Farrell and Dr. G’s Adopt-a-Grandparent program.
“Contributing to our local communities, foundations and charitable organizations has always been one of our core values and a high priority for all of us,” said Gilbert’s Risk Solution President Lew Kachulis in a statement. “Charitable support is more important than ever in what has been a particularly difficult time for many.”
Though this is the first time Gilbert’s has donated money instead of hosting a Christmas party, the insurance agency has a history of giving back to the communities it serves. In addition to other donations throughout the year, Gilbert’s offers all employees a fully paid day off each year to volunteer in their community. Employees can also participate in the monthly Casual for a Cause program, which donates funds every month to charities.
