Interfaith to Merge with YNDC

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. and Interfaith Home Maintenance Service have begun the process of merging.

In August, YNDC and Interfaith boards approved an agreement and plan to merge. Effective Oct. 1, the merger will be complete with YNDC as the surviving corporation. Interfaith’s employees and assets will become part of YNDC and Interfaith’s emergency home repair program will continue as part of YNDC.

“YNDC is proud to continue the mission of Interfaith Home Maintenance Service and build upon its 40 plus year legacy of serving low income homeowners,” said Ian Beniston, YNDC executive director. “The merger will result in a stronger organization that can more effectively provide housing and neighborhood stabilization services to residents of Youngstown and Mahoning County.”

YNDC is a citywide neighborhood planning and development organization providing housing and neighborhood stabilization services to Youngstown and Mahoning County. Interfaith is a nonprofit housing organization that provides emergency repair services to low-income homeowners.

“We are proud of our mission and record of assisting our clients with home repair over the past 44 years and anticipate these services to continue under the leadership of YNDC,” said Deborah Grinstein, president of Interfaith Board of Directors.
