Investments Being Made Along Mahoning Avenue Corridor
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The former Sweet Arrangements Florist property at 1528 Mahoning Ave. was acquired by the Western Reserve Port Authority after the former owners retired following 41 years of operation at the site.
The request for proposal process is underway to find the best fit for the neighborhood and redevelop the property for commercial use.
“Commercial property revitalization is breathing new life back into vacant and abandoned properties in the city of Youngstown,” says Nick Chretien, WRPA planning and development manager. “We see these spaces as building blocks for neighborhoods and really returning the city back to the commercial corridor feel that it once had.”
