James & Sons Renamed First Insurance Group

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Starting March 1, James & Sons will be rebranded to First Insurance Group, a Premier Financial Company.

The firm’s name and logo will be changed to align with the recent name change of its corporate holding company to Premier Financial Corp., and banking affiliate to Premier Bank, the former Home Savings Bank.

“As we celebrate 100 years of providing personalized service to those in the Mahoning Valley, we are proud of our history as James & Sons and the growth and partnerships that have led to our new name designed to carry us into the future,” said Thomas Costello, president, James & Sons. “As First Insurance Group, our team is looking forward to providing our clients with expanded resources and services, delivered by the same local agents who remain dedicated to providing expert advice and support whenever needed.”

While the name is changing, the 100-year-old firm states its local team and commitment to clients and the community remains at the heart of First Insurance Group. All client coverage and policies remain in place and no action is needed by clients, according to the release.
