Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates is one of more than 40 affiliates of the nationwide Jobs for America’s Graduates organization. The JAG model consists of a comprehensive set of services designed to keep young people in school through graduation and improves their success rates in education and careers. Competency-based instruction equips students with 37 employability skills competencies plus career exploration. Multi-year JAG students are eligible to master 81 competencies. JAG also engages employers in the classroom and in professional settings to expose students to job opportunities and career pathways in their own communities. JAG also provides 12 months of follow-up services after high-school graduation to support student transition into employment, military service and/or post-secondary enrollment.

Fully 94% of apprentices who complete an apprenticeship retain employment, with an average annual salary of $70,000. Many apprentices are able to earn credits towards an advanced degree while avoiding student debt.
