John Pogue Retires from Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell

WARREN, Ohio — John L. Pogue has retired from the law firm of Harrington, Hoppe and Mitchell after more than 50 years.

Pogue, who began practicing law in 1969, has served as legal counsel for many organizations throughout the Valley, including Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Copperweld Steel, Wean United and the Trumbull Country Club.

“John has been a valuable asset to our firm for many years,” said Kevin Murphy, managing partner at HHM.

“His commitment and contributions to HHM and numerous Warren-area organizations will make a difference for years to come.”

During his career Pogue also served as president of the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees, president of the Warren Area Community Improvement Corporation, president of the Warren City Schools Foundation and chairman of the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Pogue has also been instrumental in the creation and expansion of several nonprofits in the Warren area, such as the Raymond John Wean Foundation and BRITE Energy Innovators.

Pogue says he plans to continue his work with several non-profit organizations during retirement.
