Johnson on Permitting Reform

BOARDMAN, Ohio – U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson of Marietta, R-6th, attended a panel discussion that focused on America’s permitting process that may be delaying vital projects in Ohio.

Representatives from Building a Better America, the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, Encino Energy and UA Local 396 Plumbers and Pipefitters were also a part of the panel.

“We don’t need judges coming along that know nothing about energy development just because they get a lawyer that files a grievance and they shut down a project for years sometimes,” Johnson says. “Permitting has got to be reformed.”
