Needs Signs on as SOD Center Executive Director
SALEM, Ohio – The Sustainable Opportunity Development Center, Inc., also known as SOD Center, has named Julie Needs as its new executive director with her duties starting Feb. 6.
“Julie has the talent and drive to take the SOD Center successfully into the future with continued growth and prosperity for the city of Salem and its surrounding areas.” said board President Shawna L’Italien in a news release.
Needs, originally from New Galilee, Pa., attended Beaver Falls High School and Clarion University.
She has devoted the last 17 years of her 24-year career to Home Savings Bank in Youngstown and most recently as the branch manager in Salem.
She brings strategic management and extensive experience in the business world to the SOD Center, as well as hands-on experience working with entrepreneurs managing small businesses.
In addition to being active professionally, Needs is also involved in the community, including serving on the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors as treasurer and active member of the Salem Rotary. She enjoys golf, travel and volunteering at Holy Family School.
“I am very excited to continue and build on the great things happening at the SOD center and thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the future growth of the SOD Center, Salem and surrounding communities,” Needs said in the announcement.
