Kachelries Joins Community Legal Aid Services
Attorney Michael Kachelries recently joined Community Legal Aid Services where he will serve clients in Youngstown’s Taft Promise Neighborhood. As a staff attorney for Legal Aid’s Neighbor Law Project — designed to breathe new life into the 40-block neighborhood surrounding Taft Avenue — Kachelries says he looks forward to providing community members with legal advice and representation and assisting them through educational and outreach programs. “I always had a calling to serve. It’s the reason I joined the Army,” says Kachelries. Before he entered the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, he spent three years on intermittent active duty orders, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Kachelries earned his B.A. in political science from Youngstown State University. He lives in Austintown with his wife and four children.
