Kent State Stark Seeks Employers for Vets Job Fair
NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Kent State University at Stark is looking for employers to attend its job fair for veterans Aug. 18 at the campus’ conference center, 6000 Frank Ave. NW in North Canton, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The university has partnered with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and others to host the job fair.
The job fair is limited to 35 employers and registration for corporate and for-profit organizations is $200. Government and non-profits will be offered a discounted rate. Registration includes a table at the fair, lunch for two employees and parking.
The two goals of the job fair, the university said in a release are to provide veterans a chance to meet with employers about specific job openings and provide targeted services for veterans to connect with services and programs they may be eligible for.
Registration can be completed at Kent State’s Flash@Work site. The deadline to apply is Aug. 11 or when capacity is reached.
