Kent State Trumbull Among Top Military-Friendly Schools

WARREN, Ohio — Kent State University at Trumbull has again been named Military Friendly.

Military Friendly is the military ratings division of Viqtory, a service-disabled, veteran-owned business that also serves as the publisher of G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse, according to a release. Military Friendly rates companies and colleges based on their programs to recruit and retain military veterans as both employees and students.

The designation is for schools who work to make life better for veterans and their spouses by setting the standard for higher education institutions to provide positive opportunities.

“All of us at Kent State Trumbull are proud of this designation,” said Nicolette Fenlock, assistant director of enrollment management and student services. “We are fortunate in this area to have the Youngstown Air Reserve Station and Camp Ravenna and we want to do our best to serve the men and women on these bases.”

As the campus’ Veteran Affairs certifying official, Fenlock oversees the application process from beginning to successful completion.

Kent State Trumbull joins the Kent Campus who received a bronze-level status, meaning it scored within 30% of the 10th best school in its category, as well as Kent State Tuscarawas campus who was also named Military Friendly.
