90-Acre Kirila Estate Up for Auction with $3.9M List Price
TRANSFER, Pa. — A 90-acre gated equestrian estate overlooking Shenango Lake will be sold at auction May 31 through Concierge Auctions. The property is currently listed for sale at $3.9 million.
The estate, at 101 Carrier Road in Pymatuning Township, is owned by Gene and Ginger Kirila. It was put on the market seven years ago with a list price of $5 million. At the time, the Kirilas said they were planning to move to North Carolina.
Gene Kirila, a native of Brookfield and graduate of Youngstown State University, is the founder of VEC Technology LLC, a Greenville-based company that designs, engineers and manufactures precision molded composite parts and tools.
The auction will sell the estate without reserve in cooperation with Mark Jennings of Piatt Sotheby’s International Realty, according to a news release from Concierge Auctions.
“The estate is the result of my husband’s 17-year effort, from purchasing the original farm to building our dream home. We envisioned the house to be a great family estate, with plenty of open spaces to entertain family and friends,” stated Ginger Kirila. “Named after Gene’s grandfather, George ‘Soup’ Kirila, who worked on the property some 40 years prior to when we purchased it, the estate is comfortable, modern, and really has everything to offer.”
The 13,000-square-foot home includes nine bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, an expansive chef’s kitchen and dining terrace, exercise room, wine cellar, theater and 54-foot indoor pool next to the living room. Custom architectural features include skylights, floor-to-ceiling windows, a cupola library, atrium, glass cased fireplaces and glass elevator.
Outside, the property comes equipped with a separate lodge featuring a full kitchen, fireplace, conference center and patio with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding pastures. The 5,000-square-foot lodge has a hangar-style garage and workshop, large enough to store a boat, helicopter or car collection.
The equestrian estate also offers a 5,000-square-foot barn with four stalls. Additional outdoor activities available at the property are ATV, running and biking trails, boating, fishing, hiking, skeet shooting and hunting.
The property also includes a helipad for quick travel and is located 20 minutes from Youngstown Airport.
