Komar Anchor Gets Contract for Chill-Can Plumbing
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Komar Anchor Plumbing and Drain Service in Youngstown has been contracted to install underground plumbing at the chill-can factory under construction on the city’s east side.
The company has installed pipes for sanitary and water lines as well as drain services for the campus’ first building.
“The Chill-Can factory is an enormous investment in Youngtown and we are honored to be working on this project,” said Komar Anchor President Thaddeus Smith in a release.
Developed by The Joseph Co. International, the chill-can factory and research center is a $20 million project. CEO Mitchell Jospeh said he expects the campus to employ about 250 and begin production next summer.
Komar Anchor was founded in 1966 as Komar Plumbing Co. It merged with Anchor Plumbing and Drain Service last year. The company’s president, Smith, is an adjunct professor at Youngstown State University and has been named an Outstanding Alumni by the Williamson College of Business.
